1. Don't skip meals

2. Eat small meals at regular intervals

3. Eat atleast five servings of fruits and vegetables daily

4. Get atleast 30 minutes of exercise everyday

Apart from eating healthy, a combination of cardio and strength training is key to losing fat and building muscle.

5. Do not have water with meals

It is ideal to have water half an hour before meals as it aids in digestion and can reduce extra calorie consumption.

6. Eat high-fibre foods

Fibre rich foods can help keep you achieve a feeling of fullness without consuming too much calories, which is ideal for losing weight. Whole grain cereals, fruits, vegetables, beans, peas and lentils are fibre rich thereby helping in weight loss.

7. Avoid alcohol

Every gram of alcohol provides 7 calories that is enough to nullify the effect of all the diet and exercise you might follow. Over a period of time, drinking alcohol can easily lead to weight gain, especially belly fat!
